Mr Michael J Denton
MMBS, FRACS

Mr Michael Denton is a Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon whose practice involves the management of arterial, venous and lymphatic disorders, with particular expertise in endovascular modalities of treatment of arterial and venous disorders. This includes endovascular treatment of aortic aneurysm by endografting and stenting of the carotid artery. He is involved in credentialing and training of other vascular surgeons in both these areas.

He also has particular interest in endovascular treatment of lower limb peripheral vascular disease, renal artery and visceral artery disease. He has a broad practice in the treatment of varicose veins including the endovascular treatment of ovarian vein incompetence with coil occlusion percutaneously.

He is appointed as Vascular Surgeon at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne and is accredited to treat patients at St Vincent’s Private, Epworth Hospital and Waverley Private Hospital.

He is Chairman of the Epworth Vascular Unit and is also the current President of the Australian New Zealand Society of Vascular Surgery. His educational appointments include Senior Lecturer in Vascular Surgery at the Melbourne University where he is involved in teaching medical students. He also teaches and examines post-graduate advanced surgical trainees in vascular surgery.
