A/Prof Peter Holmes is a Respiratory & Sleep Physician with particular interest in infectious respiratory disease and sleep apnoea as well as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and chronic cough. He is widely published in these areas and has had a long association with The Australian Lung Foundation where he is the Victorian Chairman. Peter is also a past local president of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand.

Peter is the Deputy Director of Respiratory & Sleep Medicine at Monash Medical Centre and Honorary Clinical Associate Professor, Faculty of Medicine, Monash University Melbourne. He is also a Director of the Southern Region Respiratory Service, East Bentleigh.

Peter is a graduate of Monash University and Prince Henry’s Hospital Medical School Melbourne and undertook post-graduate work at the Brompton Hospital London and Cardiothoracic Institute, University of London.
