Mr Adrian Pick
MB BS, FRACS

Mr Adrian Pick graduated from Melbourne University and undertook a General Surgical Fellowship followed by a Cardiothoracic Surgical Fellowship completed in 1998. His post-graduate training was conducted at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine and in the second post-graduate year he specialised in thoracic surgery.

Adrian is interested in all areas of thoracic surgery including minimally invasive thoracic procedures and lung conserving pulmonary resection. His cardiac surgical practice focuses on aortic surgery with a focus on aortic valve preservation procedures, also mitral valve surgery with specialist techniques for anterior leaflet repair.

Adrian is also actively involved in the Transplant Program at The Alfred where he has a keen interest in research. Currently, he is developing models for the pre-operative prevention of atrial fibrillation as well as intra-operative management including the application of radiofrequency energy lesions.
