Malcolm Baxter

Malcolm graduated from Monash University in 1970 and completed his speciality training in Otolaryngology –Head & Neck Surgery in 1979, in the Victorian ENT training program. After further work in the UK he returned to Australia and entered private practice in Gippsland ,subsequently joining the Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospital in 1989 where he is now in charge of the Voice Clinic. In 1997 he joined the ENT department of Monash Medical Centre as a consultant and has also been in private practice in the Monash area for nearly 10 years. He is also a principal of the Melbourne Voice Analysis Centre in East Melbourne, a speciality clinic for investigation and treatment of voice disorders.
Malcolm covers all aspects of the speciality, with a special interest in Laryngology and Voice Disorders
His other special interest is ENT Outreach –the provision of ENT services to developing countries and our own indigenous communities. He is chairman of the Australian Society of Otolaryngology –Head and Neck Surgery outreach committee and since 1995 has been ENT Convenor of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Tertiary Projects Committee, providing services to Pacific Islands, PNG East Timor (and now West also).
He is married with two adult children and is looking forward to the new venture in new locations.
